Antigen vs Antibody – What Are the Differences?

Antigens are any substance that triggers an immune response to fight off that substance. Examples include toxins, chemicals, and pathogens.

Antibodies are the proteins that are produced by the immune system in response to the exposure of an antigen. The immune system uses the antibodies to remove the antigen if it re-enters the body.
