Brief: Bill Gates divorce, WhatsApp saturation, Perfect Mother’s Day gift, Covid immunity

Saturday, May 8, 2021

Short talking points

  1. Bill and Melinda Gates are divorcing. They didn’t sign a prenup. Woohoo!
  2. “WhatsApp is growing despite months of backlash over policy changes.” I think this is fake news. Because based on my conversations with friends and family in different countries, it seems like WhatsApp adoption has reached full saturation around the globe. There is no one new downloading the app. Everyone outside of the US already has it and uses it.
  3. If your mom is in a different city, think of sending her a short email for Mother’s Day. (Mother’s Day in the United States is an annual holiday celebrated on the second Sunday in May.)
  4. Vaccination against COVID does not mean immunity. Immunity is your body’s ability to fight off infection.
